Assistance Programs

A number of Capital Area Housing Partnership’s assistance programs require participants meet federal income restrictions as determined by HUD.

4 - $74,950
5 - $80,950
6 - $86,950
7 - $92,950
8 - $98,950

Down Payment Assistance - East Lansing

Buyer’s personal investment must equal at least 1% of purchase price.
Deed restrictions are recorded at the time of purchase requiring the home to remain owner occupied for 30 years.
Completion of CAHP Home Buyer Education course is required prior to closing.
Limited funds are available and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Complete application can be submitted to info@capitalareahousing.org, or dropped off at CAHP's office located at 600 W. Maple, Lansing, MI 48906.

Interested in Buying a CAHP-developed Home?

Buyer must be at or below 80% AMI income limit as determined by HUD.
Offer to Purchase must be submitted to listing agent along with complete application packet, including all income documents.
Buyer’s personal investment must equal at least 1% of purchase price.
Deed restrictions are recorded at the time of purchase requiring the home to remain owner occupied for 30 years.
Completion of CAHP Home Buyer Education course is required prior to closing.
Down Payment assistance funds may be available
CAHP homes are sold on a first come, first served basis.

Rehabilitation Programs

Homeowner Rehab Program - East Lansing

Home must be within East Lansing City limits.
Deed restrictions are recorded once work is completed, requiring the home remain owner occupied for 30 years.
Limited funds are available and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
