HOME FOR GOOD
AT WALTER FRENCH CAMPAIGN
HELP FAMILIES TRANSITION FROM HOMELESSNESS TO STABILITY
At Walter French, we’re creating more than housing—we’re creating new beginnings. Through the Home for Good campaign, families transitioning from homelessness will find not just a safe place to live, but a foundation for stability and independence. With your support, we can provide essential furnishings and services that transform these apartments into true homes and offer hope for a brighter future. Together, we can help these families take their first steps toward lasting stability.
A LIFELINE FOR LASTING STABILITY:
At Capital Area Housing Partnership, we believe that a stable home is the foundation for a stable life. Our new initiative, Home for Good at Walter French, is more than just housing; it is a lifeline for households who are transitioning from homelessness to a secure, permanent home at The Residences at Walter French. Through this program, we offer not only safe and stable housing but also critical supportive services that empower residents to regain their independence and pursue their dreams.
A COMPREHENSIVE PATHWAY TO INDEPENDENCE:
Guided by the Housing First model, our program meets residents where they are, ensuring they have access to their most basic needs—shelter, food, and safety—before they focus on rebuilding their lives. Research shows that when people have a secure home, they are more likely to succeed in managing employment, personal finances, and mental and physical health. This model is about more than placing a roof over someone’s head; it’s about creating a stable environment that enables people to thrive.
At Capital Area Housing Partnership, we know the journey doesn’t end when our residents turn the key to their new home. Our wraparound services and community support empower residents to tackle challenges they face and build life skills to live independently, confidently, and with a renewed sense of hope.
BUILDING A FOUNDATION TOGETHER:
Our commitment to these families extends beyond providing them with a place to live. With the help of a $50,000 grant from the Capital Region Community Foundation, we’re able to furnish supportive housing units at Walter French, creating a space where families can gather around a dining table, children can sleep soundly in their own beds, and individuals can settle into a space that truly feels like home.
Yet, many residents arrive with little to no belongings. We need your help to turn these apartments into homes.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Your gift directly impacts the lives of our new residents by supplying the essentials they need to build a stable home:
